The Aurora Borealis slowly swirls above the rocks and trees of Churchill, Manitoba.
Photography Tip: A strong foreground element is essential day, or night, in landscape photography.
It is your choice of foreground elements that distinguishes one image from another. Sure, amazing skies will fill your frame with color but it is your foreground element that will hold the whole story together.
If you follow my posts then you may have noticed that I am on an Aurora Borealis kick lately. That's because I really need to find two more photographers who would like to join my *Night Skies and the Northern Lights Photography Workshop* this March up at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre.
Come with me up to the edge of the Arctic and learn to shoot, and process, images like this one. More details on this unique small-group photography adventure at http://bit.ly/auroraphotoworkshop
