Day begins above Castle Geyser in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
Photography Tip: Working with steam can be frustrating. The steam will show up best if you can position it against a flat blue sky. But even with the perfect skies, the results can be disappointing until you do some selective burning and dodging using Adobe Photoshop.
My good friend Mark Johnson has an excellent video tutorial on three ways to burn and dodge in Photoshop. Each method is worth learning. See http://bit.ly/1qCbVRn
If you are interested, I am leading another Yellowstone National Park Photography Workshop this September with park expert Dr. Jim Halfpenny. This will be a small group field photography experience with lots of hands-on instruction. Space is limited. To register go to http://bit.ly/1mePv3b
