David_Marx_Photo_015897-Edit-Black and White Infrared Montana Wheat Field.jpg
Rows of cut wheat glow in front of the Columbia Mountain range in Creston, Montana. This is from a black and white digital infrared capture that I polished up with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 and then perfected using Silver Efex Pro from Nik Software. Lightroom is good. Lightroom + Nik's tonal contrast controls is even better!<br />

Black and white infrared images love strong directional beams of light. This capture technique works really well for me on partially cloudy afternoons especially in Montana's wheat fields and agricultural areas. With the infrared camera, mixing vegetation illuminated by direct sunlight with strong moody skies always produces interesting results.
