The Aurora Borealis shines on a cold clear night in Churchill, Manitoba.

Photography Tip: Pre-focus your lenses for success at night instead of relaying on your auto-focus system. When you are planning a night shoot, take the time to carefully focus your lenses on something very distant long before it gets dark.

Once you know your lens is properly focused switch it to manual mode and then gently tape down the focal ring. Tape it all down so that the focal distance cannot be change. Keep the tape tight and your images will be razor sharp once it gets dark.

It's not too late to join my *Night Skies and The Northern Lights Photography Workshop* at the end of the month up here at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre.

Come with us and learn everything that I know about night photography and image processing with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop CC, and more. Workshop details at http://bit.ly/auroraphotoworkshop
